Our Counter Technicians provide customer solutions and prepare pricing and quotations. You'll have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members. The individual in this position should be comfortable with digital technology and able to work extensively within computer systems to enter orders, maintain pertinent sales, account, and cost records, and prepare various reports. The Counter Technician should have a strong attention to detail and take pride in their customer service and communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Establish and maintain positive and professional rapport with customers, offering high-quality information and service including assistance with product needs, questions, purchases, returns, etc.
• Receive and process in person and phone requests for price and availability of materials, acquiring price information directly from vendors on non-price book items
• Receive, pick and ship customer orders
• Lead inventory control duties including count variations and system updates
• Provide outside sales personnel with leads based on customer conversations
• Fabricate hose assemblies pursuant to customer request
• Maintain product literature and obtain technical information from manufacturers

What We Need from You:

• High School degree or diploma/certificate/degree from technical school
• Experience in automotive industry, automotive parts store, or competitor
• Proven mechanical aptitude and ability
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Digital literacy, computer skills, and previous experience with an operating system (CRM experience preferred)
