Application Engineer – SPXFLOW Lightnin Mixers

Department: Inside Sales / Customer Service
Location: Miami, FL

We sell to a broad base of customers in industries such as electronic component and equipment manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, water & waste treatment, metal finishing, pollution control and life sciences companies. Ryan Herco Flow Solutions is looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Application Engineer/Customer Service Representative.

The position will be responsible for providing sales support for parts, equipment and services for Ryan Herco Flow Solutions/SunSource. This is to be accomplished by working as a team with the Field Sales Representative, Repair Sales Representatives as well as the Repair Sales Management. The objective is to maximize the company’s profit margins while maintaining a positive relationship with our customers and principals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn the products that we represent, their appropriate applications, their strengths and weaknesses as well as our competitor’s capabilities.
  • Learn each supplier’s sizing and selection program or procedure.
  • Develop quotations for our customers for our equipment and maintain the files.
  • Enter orders in our order handling system after review of customer order to confirm consistency with our proposal.
  • Develop relationships with our customers where they think of our company first for their rotating equipment needs.
  • Develop relationships and product knowledge with our vendors for accessory equipment so that we know where their equipment fits in our scope of supply.
  • Develop working relationships with our Principals factory personnel.
  • Develop relationships with our customers where they think of our company first for their rotating equipment needs.
  • Work with our customers to resolve any warranty issues should they occur.

 

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Mechanical degree preferred or equivalent combination work experience, training and/or education.
  • At least 2 years in an inside sales or technical support role in a manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably in the fluid power or fluid processing industry.
  • Must be well organized and able to coordinate with functional groups to achieve results.
  • Candidate must have strong communication skills and computer proficiency.
